Math is a special source of anxiety for students, especially when it comes to solving word problems. In this workshop, tutors and teachers will learn strategies and activities that build student confidence in math, help students see the connection between numbers and what goes on in their lives, help students develop important critical thinking, decision making, and problem solving strategies, and make math fun and interesting. Activities are appropriate for in-person and virtual instruction.
